The park was very nice too. They are plenty of areas to enjoy the sun, picnic, or hang up a hammock and take a nap. The parking lot can fill up quickly, so get there early.

Really great place to bring the family. We went paddle boarding. The water is clean and smooth. Don't forget your personal floatation device, we were stopped by the police but they gave us a warning and told us to go back. The park is beautiful, we'll definitely go back.

Great place to camp! Spaceous camp sites, nice lake and boat launch, and friendly staff. Would give 5 stars instead of 4 if full hookup sites were available and especially if there was a fenced dog park.

Very nice camping areas. The cabins are much more spacious than you would think looking at them from the outside; they can easily house four adults (assuming you don't mind bunk beds).

I like this place. Neat and well maintained. The restrooms are also not bad. The beach area is nice too. Fishing possible from the marina there I believe . Make sure you carry cash for paying at entrance for parking. The rates are different on weekends and weekdays.

A beautifully serene paradise right in the middle of Virginia! Spent the whole day with the family and enjoyed the park swimming, sunbathing and just spending super quality with the family. The staff is super helpful and always willing to lend a hand. My only advice is to bring ready to foods, such as sandwiches, granola bars, juices and other things like this. There is a snack bar there that serves the usual picnic favorites- hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken fingers etc. The park has many wonderful grills but are usually taken. I recommend this place to anybody who loves the beach but doesn't want to travel the three hours or so to get to Virginia Beach or Nags Head or go up North and head up to Ocean City. Please do yourself a favor and enjoy this wonderful Park.
